L.A.D.W.P. Reimburses $231,473.54 to Multiple Associations!
Since the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power introduced its new billing system in the fall of 2013, there have been numerous delayed bills, rebills, estimated bills and incorrect bills. At the present time, these billing problems are still ongoing, with D.W.P. trying to shift the blame for the numerous problems on the company hired to implement the new billing system via a lawsuit filed this year: http://ktla.com/2015/03/06/city-attorney-announces-lawsuit-stemming-from-alleged-mismanagement-of-ladwp-billing/
Needless to say, we have spoken to many frustrated and confused L.A.D.W.P. utility customers since their new billing sytem was implemented! For more detailed information about some of these billing problems, read our article from February, 2015: https://pacificutilityaudit.com/news/los-angeles-d-w-p-billing-problems/
The good news is that a utility audit can recover money for our clients due to these billing errors, and reduce future utility bills as well!
Here is a list of some of the properties billed by L.A.D.W.P. that asked us to audit their utility bills earlier in 2015, and the results:
